Drawing inspiration from the 1999 film "69," Netflix's "69: The Series" is a Thai crime comedy that closely mirrors the original movie's plot.

It centers on Toom, a young woman who, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, grapples with unemployment and thoughts of despair. However, her perspective takes a sharp turn when she stumbles upon a mysterious box filled with cash, erroneously delivered to her doorstep due to a loose screw on her front door.

This mix-up results in her apartment being labeled as Number 9 instead of its actual Number 6

This marks the intriguing starting point for a captivating and humorous narrative.
The crucial sequences of "69: The Series" are filmed in Bangkok, Thailand's vibrant capital, and its surrounding areas. The production team utilizes the city's diverse landscapes, scouting various streets and neighborhoods to capture pivotal scenes against fitting backdrops. Much of the action unfolds within the confines of apartments, police stations, and parking lots, as the protagonist navigates the challenges posed by those pursuing the newfound fortune.

While many interior scenes are shot in real establishments, it's likely that some were captured in one of the film studios situated in and around Bangkok, such as Supreme Studio, Benetone Films, and The Studio Park Thailand.

As for exterior shots, they predominantly showcase authentic locations across the capital. This means keen-eyed viewers might recognize local landmarks and structures in the background, including the Chao Phraya river,
the Grand Palace, the Giant Swing, the Democracy Monument, and Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan. Apart from "69: The Series," these locales have also played a role in numerous other films and TV shows, including "Kate," "Only God Forgives," "Bad Genius," and even the 1999 original film "69."
